Condition:
This old Crawford Family Cemetery is located on the west bank of Browns Branch, a tributary of the San Saba River. It is in the flood plain of both Browns Branch and the San Saba River. The cemetery has been abandoned for many years and is in an advanced state of decay. Only three identifiable tombstones remain in the cemetery at this time. Two are standing and a third is broken from its base and lying face down and covered by debris from flooding and erosion. There are also several sandstone markers with no inscriptions. Those known to have been buried in this cemetery were of the Crawford, Wayland, Harris, Magee and Richardson families. Old cemetery records indicate that at least four of the Crawford bodies were moved to the nearby Harris cemetery.
