Condition:
The Terry Cemetery, established in the early 1880’s, is one of the oldest in San Saba County that is still in use as a burial ground in 2009. The oldest extant tombstone with an inscription is that of the infant daughter of I. W. and Mrs. Taff who died February 28, 1883. There may have been earlier burials at this location, but if so, no records are available.

The cemetery has been well maintained over the years. There is an active cemetery association that provides regular maintenance and upkeep. The cemetery is an area of about three-fourths of an acre, enclosed by a five foot high wire fence. There is a five foot wide walk-through gate at mid-point in the southwest fence line which runs parallel to county road 122. There is a twenty foot wide vehicle gate near mid-point in the southeast fence line which runs parallel to County Road 114. The only parking space available is along the southwest and southeast sides of the cemetery on County Roads 122 and 114.
