The Adams Cemetery, established in the early 1900s is still in use as a burial ground in 2014.  The oldest extant gravestone with an inscription is that of Archie Adams, the son of Matt Adams.  Archie was born August 2, 1902 and died January 14, 1905.

The cemetery was maintained over its first sixty years by the families who had loved ones buried there, but it was not until 1975 that the cemetery underwent a general clean up and restoration through the leadership of Mrs. Billie G. McKinnerney and Bonnie N. Page.  Today it is one of the best maintained of the many old cemeteries in San Saba County.  It was designated an Historic Texas Cemetery at an ceremony April 29, 2006.
