W. N. Clark Family Cemetery

Location:
The W. N. Clark Family Cemetery is located about nineteen miles southeast of the city of San Saba in the Bend community. This cemetery 
is on private property owned by the William Nolan Clark family.

Directions:
From San Saba city limit east on U. S. Highway 190:
Go east 2.9 miles to FM 580. (Bend Road)
Turn right onto FM 580 and go southeast 14 miles to the Bend Store and the intersection with CR 436.  

Follow CR 436 (paved but rough and narrow.) Go 0.7 mile to the intersection with 440.

Go 0.6 mile on CR 440 to a cattle guard that leads into the Clark property.
(This course will take you past the intersection with CR 442, which leads to Colorado Bend State Park.
It will also go past the intersection with CR 444, which leads to the Barefoot Fishing Camp.)

Go across the cattle guard onto the Clark property.
To the right of the cattle guard are Jackie Brister's barns and pecan harvesting equipment.

‑ On the right just past the Brister barns, is a mobile home.
‑ On the left of the road is a small trailer house.
‑ On the left, past the trailer house, is a rock house, the Clark home site.

At the front of the house, turn right into an open field and drive about 100 yards to the cemetery, which is visible from the road.


Condition:
This family cemetery was established in 1987. It is located on the William Nolan Clark property in an open field,
 a short distance to the west of the Clark home.
The cemetery is approximately one half acre in size with three large live oak trees near the center.
The area is enclosed by a five ft. high chain‑link fence with a double‑wide gate at mid‑point in the east
fence line. This cemetery is lovingly maintained by members of the Clark family.
