Condition:

The Varga Chapel Cemetery was established in 1890 and is still in use as a community burial ground in 2012.  the oldest extant gravestone with an inscription is that of Robert E. Timmons who was born November 18, 1823, and died October 27, 1890.  It is probable that there may have been an earlier burial here, but if so, no record remains.

The cemetery is an area of about two acres (more or less) enclosed by a four ft. high chain link fence. There is one 10.5 ft. gate opening into the cemetery.  The gate is situated at midpoint in the east fence line adjacent to the parking area.  The cemetery has been and continues to be well maintained by an interested community and an active cemetery association with a permanent fund to pay for upkeep and maintenance.
